When we docked on the pier in Papeete for the first time we were welcomed by dancing men in women dressed in their exotic outfits. Right from the start I was impressed by their hospitality and sincerity. It was obvious that the modern world had not yet overcome those distant islands.

Another thing that captures the attention of the experienced sailors are the exotic women of Tahiti. This was what the first seamen noticed as they discovered the islands. I am going to pay special attention to the subject and you can see on the next page a couple of postcards with beautiful tahitian girls which I think you will appreciate. What is interesting is that they look quite genuine and simple, and at the same time unique, surrounded by beautiful views.
